WHy Vegan?

We bake with NO eggs, milk, butter, gelatin, honey or bone char sugar. Killin it in the bakery game with out hurting anything is what we do. You will never eat a cholesterol laden baked good again after you find our why we are sweet to lick.

Our Story

Part 1

Sweet To Lick is a place built Vegan from the start. In 2000 Michael (your baker) met a dope vegan lady. They went out and found very little vegan food and even fewer good vegan desserts. Our humble baker thought "I can do better than this, how hard could it be." Well, in 2010 he finally figured out the best chocolate chip cookies since time vegan. If your counting that’s ten years of bad food she was subjected to (sorry Kathee). In 2011 we did our first farmers market, expanding the menu week by week. In August of 2013, we opened a real deal bakery. Continuing to expand our offerings to include a #VeganLunch so awesome carnivores can't say no. For the coffee lover, we keep it simple. Our Long Island roasted coffee is always organic and fresh ground. If tea is your bag, our tea menu full of some great blends and a few puns. On #SundaySconeday we have freshly baked scones, come early as these killers sell out. Check out our new fully Gluten Free Deli and market. Whether it’s the spectacular rainbow cookie bar the best gluten-free cookie since time vegan, or our world-famous ginger ale crumb cake, we have something sweet for everybody, we’ve even gone fully gluten-free.       

From now to infinity we are #VeganAllDay.

Part 2

Your intrepid baker was tired and could not continue. As he locked the door to 78 Hillside for the last time a single tear lifted off his chubby cheek into the wind. Goodbye, he thought. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes of many burnt cookies he rises; many pounds lighter, smiling, and ready to take on some new challenges. He faces the world with a new outlook.

What’s this? What is that nagging feeling in his gut, like he left the stove on? Is Keven home alone again? Is he feeling like he left something unfinished? Maybe he left his friends without the goodies he loved to see them enjoy? But it’s too late for all that… isn’t it?

Part 3

Here we are, present day, and our hero is ready to bring back some of the awesomeness you loved him for. You are missed, you are loved and your baker is here for you once again. Starting with a Thanksgiving box and now weekly markets and popups. Cookies, blondies, scones, and whatever else he comes up with will get stuffed in a box and dragged around Long Island for your pleasure. Love you folks
